Default 55 monk or 55 necro?

I posted this somewhere else but it seems to have gotten lost. :-|

I'm gonna make a 55 something, but I can't make up my mind on which. in your opinion which is better and why. please discuss

55 mesmer, so you can solo UW.

I would say that 55-monking is easier, so if you're just starting out make it a monk. After you get the basics down, you can experiment with other classes.

I have both, and I like the 55 Necro more. Reason being, it seems like stuff dies faster.

Monk is safer...you don't need to worry about your SS being shattered off... You can also use your secondary, whereas everyone else has to use the monk secondary and wish they could use skills from another profession.

Go Mo/Me and just pay to become a Mo/W, Mo/N, Mo/Rt, etc. when you want to 55.

@Kobun King, you *do* know that more things than the mesmer can solo UW, right? The Monk and the Necro are actually the best at it (since the rit has to 105 and if they get interrupted they have no evasion, etc.)
